“FIT camp has been an amazing experience so far. In the first week of attending FIT camp every inch of my body hurt and I thought I might not make it through another week!! But at the end of that week I stepped on a scale and seen that I had lost 7 lbs. So I decided to push myself and attend the next week. The next week got a little easier. I found myself not hurting as much and was starting to notice a change in the “tone” of my muscles. Of course this inspired me to continue on.

The first two weeks I struggled with changing my eating habits. However after not being quite satisfied with my results with just exercising, I began to take on your challenge of the meal plan as well. I since then have stuck to the meal plan and am feeling better than ever! I have an amazing amount of energy that I didn’t have before. I find myself waking up before the alarm clock and being ready to hop out of bed and I find I still have energy at 10:00pm when it is time to go to bed. Before I could barely drag myself out of bed a half hour after the alarm went off and I was tired and ready to go to bed at 8:00pm when my kids were heading to bed.

Last week we went on a “jog” down the walking path and looped back towards the facility. I was quite amazed that I was not only able to keep up with the group but had enough energy to run all the way back without resting. Normally, I would have had to stop several times and catch my breath. So there has definitely been a change in my endurance as well.

I must also mention that my “trainer” at FIT camp is amazing! My trainer is someone who I look forward to working with every night at FIT camp. He knows just how to motivate us to continue on. Before I used to go to the gym and do the same things over and over again and you find that you just get bored! Then you stop going and you fall back into the rut of being lazy at home. I don’t think I have ever gone into a work out thinking I was going to be bored once I started at One to 1! The trainer switches it up and is always willing to help you find ways to improve, making me look forward to every night of FIT camp.

I have told everyone I know what One to 1 has done for me, my colleagues at work as well as family and friends. I have even had people tell me they notice a difference not just in my appearance but in my attitude. This has been great encouragement to me and I think eventually it will inspire others. I brought my sister in law to class last night. She is going to come again next week and finish off her 5 free days of FIT camp. I am hoping at the end of the trial she will join because she is someone who lacks the motivation just as much as I did. Motivation and consistency have been something I’ve always struggled with in the past, but now I find myself excited to exercise. “June 1, 2009 I walked through the doors of One-to-1 Fitness not knowing what I was getting myself into. Was it going to be like I had seen on TV? Lots of yelling? Pushing myself to the brink of pain? Losing the supper I worked so hard to cook? The unknown was frightening. After introductions with everyone else in the class, I discovered I was not alone regarding what to expect.

Then we started working out, it was upper body day. The trainer was very good to work with. He understood my limitations and modified some of the exercises so I would not hurt myself, yet I could still feel like part of the group and not lose out on a good work out. I was amazed there was no yelling, no pushing, just encouragement and involvement. He walked around and made sure we were doing the exercise correctly so as not to injure and to get the full benefit.

After the first day I knew I was hooked. Every day I went I was given an alternative exercise and if I needed a challenge; I was given it. I am given direction when I am doing something incorrect or not to its full benefit. I have been at this now for 4 weeks. My mood swings and depression have minimized and I have become a lot happier. My energy is up, meaning I do not spend as much time on the couch. I don’t sleep for 12 hours; in fact I look forward to getting out of bed. I used to hang my clothes to dry because they ended up too tight. Now I have to put my clothes in the dryer because they are loose.

On week one I couldn’t do a burpy or a mountain climber. Now I can do 10 burpies and 50 mountain climbers. When I talk about my experiences I usually get “Good for you. Keep it up. What is a mountain climber or a burpy?” And I usually say “why don’t you come and spend a week with me for FREE and experience a mountain climber.” My son is now a FIT Camp member and as soon as an afternoon session is created my sister will be joining, and some of my other friends/co-workers have showed interest in giving it a try. I never knew exercise could be fun!”

“FIT Camp for me has been very positive; the first couple weeks were definitely tough, the body had a difficult time adapting to the workouts, and I sure felt it. After the first two weeks, though, I did notice an improvement; I had dropped 10 lbs, and though I was still pushed in the workouts, I almost looked forward to going to them…..it was like I needed them.
